This is essential when:<\/p><ul data-start=\"673\" data-end=\"867\">\n<li data-start=\"673\" data-end=\"736\">\n<p data-start=\"675\" data-end=\"736\">You&#8217;re scanning a new repeater and want to hear all activity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"737\" data-end=\"814\">\n<p data-start=\"739\" data-end=\"814\">You&#8217;re following nets or ragchews without being tied to a single Talkgroup.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"867\">\n<p data-start=\"817\" data-end=\"867\">You&#8217;re using a hotspot or dynamic Talkgroup setup.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><div><br><\/div><h4 data-start=\"874\" data-end=\"935\">\ud83d\udd27 How To Enable Promiscuous Mode on the Baofeng DM-32UV<\/h4><p data-start=\"937\" data-end=\"1039\">To turn on Promiscuous Mode using the DM-32UV CPS (Customer Programming Software), follow these steps:<\/p><ol data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1299\">\n<li data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1099\">\n<p data-start=\"1044\" data-end=\"1099\">Open the Baofeng DM-32UV CPS software on your computer.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1100\" data-end=\"1161\">\n<p data-start=\"1103\" data-end=\"1161\">On the <strong data-start=\"1110\" data-end=\"1128\">left-hand menu<\/strong>, click on <strong data-start=\"1139\" data-end=\"1160\">Optional Features<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1162\" data-end=\"1211\">\n<p data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1211\">In the top tabs, click on the <strong data-start=\"1195\" data-end=\"1206\">Digital<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1212\" data-end=\"1299\">\n<p data-start=\"1215\" data-end=\"1241\">Uncheck these two options:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1299\">\n<li data-start=\"1245\" data-end=\"1271\">\n<p data-start=\"1247\" data-end=\"1271\">\u2705 <strong data-start=\"1249\" data-end=\"1271\">Private Call Match<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1275\" data-end=\"1299\">\n<p data-start=\"1277\" data-end=\"1299\">\u2705 <strong data-start=\"1279\" data-end=\"1299\">Group Call Match<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol><p data-start=\"1301\" data-end=\"1517\">By <strong data-start=\"1304\" data-end=\"1318\">unchecking<\/strong> both of these boxes, the radio will no longer filter transmissions based on your Talkgroup or private call settings. You&#8217;ll now be able to hear <em data-start=\"1463\" data-end=\"1468\">any<\/em> DMR transmission on that frequency and timeslot!<\/p><ol start=\"5\" data-start=\"1519\" data-end=\"1587\">\n<li data-start=\"1519\" data-end=\"1587\">\n<p data-start=\"1522\" data-end=\"1587\">Click <strong data-start=\"1528\" data-end=\"1534\">OK<\/strong>, then write the updated codeplug back to your radio.<\/p><\/li><\/ol><div><br><\/div><p data-start=\"1594\" data-end=\"1725\">\ud83d\udcdd <strong data-start=\"1597\" data-end=\"1606\">Note:<\/strong> Promiscuous mode works best with dynamic repeaters and hotspots where multiple Talkgroups are being used in real time.<\/p><p data-start=\"1727\" data-end=\"1858\">This is a great feature for DMR scanning, monitoring nets, or just enjoying the full scope of what your local repeater is carrying.<\/p><p data-start=\"1727\" data-end=\"1858\"><br><\/p><p data-start=\"1865\" data-end=\"1955\">\ud83d\udcac Got questions about setting it up or need help with codeplugs?
