If you’re looking to hear all<\/em> DMR traffic on a timeslot, not just transmissions targeted at your Talkgroup or Radio ID, you’ll want to enable Promiscuous Mode<\/strong> on your Baofeng DM-32UV.<\/p>\n\n

\ud83d\udce1 What Is Promiscuous Mode?<\/h4>\n

Promiscuous Mode (sometimes called “Monitor Mode”) allows your radio to receive all digital voice traffic<\/strong> on the same timeslot and frequency\u2014regardless of the Talkgroup<\/strong>. This is essential when:<\/p>\n\n

    You’re scanning a new repeater and want to hear all activity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n \t

  • \n

    You’re following nets or ragchews without being tied to a single Talkgroup.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n \t

  • \n

    You’re using a hotspot or dynamic Talkgroup setup.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    To turn on Promiscuous Mode using the DM-32UV CPS (Customer Programming Software), follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n

      Open the Baofeng DM-32UV CPS software on your computer.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n \t

      On the left-hand menu<\/strong>, click on Optional Features<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n \t

      In the top tabs, click on the Digital<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n \t

      Uncheck these two options:<\/p>\n\n

        \u2705 Private Call Match<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n \t

        \u2705 Group Call Match<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        By unchecking<\/strong> both of these boxes, the radio will no longer filter transmissions based on your Talkgroup or private call settings. You’ll now be able to hear any<\/em> DMR transmission on that frequency and timeslot!<\/p>\n\n
